OUR CANCELLATION POLICY
Green Cedars requires a deposit of fifty percent of the base charges within
a reasonably short time of booking (normally seven days). The purpose
of such a deposit is twofold: it guarantees that your accomodations will
be available to you on arrival day, and it assures us that the party making
the reservation is committed to taking their vacation at our facility.
Once you book and forward the deposit, we hold your reservation, often
turning away others who desire the same cottage and dates.
We recognize that special situations requiring cancellation
do occur from time to time. When those situations occur, we urge you to
call us immediately. We will then make every effort to re-rent the cottage
(or mobile). The earlier you call, the better the chance of our being
able to re-book. If we are able to do so, we return your deposit, less
a nominal charge of twenty-five dollars (to help cover our advertising
costs or other expenses incurred). If we are unable to re-rent, the effect
is that we both lose fifty percent. That is, we lose half of what the
cottage would have brought in, and you lose the deposit. The season is
so short that expenses must be covered by a high occupancy rate.
